Any toolset can be used badly. Any methodology can be followed to the deliverable - and still fail. Conversely - projects without the latest toolsets, and indeed without methodology can achieve success. How are these contradictions possible? Simple - people.

Talented people and a great environment gives incredible results

Talented people will achieve even in bad environments. Bad people won't achieve even in great environments. Put talented people into a great environment - and you can get some amazing results ( for example - delivery on time, every time ). Studies have consistently shown that the productivity difference between a 'platinum collar' developer and an average developer are in the order of 10 to 1.

Your attitude is more important than your current technical experience

Here at Shine we live by that ratio - we'll do everything we can to get platinum collar developers - and then do everything we can to help these 'super' developers succeed. We've already got a great environment, and we've got great people - but we're always on the lookout for more. By the way- we don't discriminate by technical skills - but we do discriminate by your attitude and your approach to software. Training for a new language is not that difficult - training new attitudes is almost impossible.
