Shine's Shaun Ervine has release an awesome widget that can display the results of a Jira filter. You can download it here. The widget allows you to see the type, title and even the description (hover over for a tool tip) as well as linking directly into viewing the issue in a browser. Keep in mind, this widget requires the Jira RPC Plugin to be enabled.
