Shine Technologies has recently implemented an Automated Regression Testing Tool (ARTT) for a major Australian bank. Based on Asset Control (http://www.asset-control.com/), this was an initial three-month project involving a dedicated on-site Shine team. “ARTT has been created to fit seamlessly into the broader Continuous Integration Strategy implemented by Shine. This allows nightly and on-demand regression testing to be continually applied to the developing code base. The result is immediate feedback to the project highlighting issues in a timely manner.,” stated Stephen Callaghan, Executive, Shine Technologies. ARTT automates the time consuming and costly manual regression testing usually associated with such a large and intensive project. It was built upon freely available open source products and in particular JMeter (http://jakarta.apache.org/ “The timely completion of the project by Shine has resulted in the implementation of efficiencies for the bank including reducing a significant amount of time and risk in the delivery of business outcomes.” stated Stephen Callaghan, Executive, Shine Technologies. Shine Technologies will continue to provide on-site development and support services assisting in the further implementation of key strategies. |
